Question: My daughter’s 5 year old schnauzer spends quite a bit of time at our home. We have a new puppy (bichon freize/poodle mix). Her dog growls, snarls and snaps at our new puppy. How do we socialize the two dogs so they are safe with each other? Our puppy is exuberant and tries to engage in activities including being around the Schnauzer’s food bowl that result in the the dog growling. How do we help the Schnauzer become better behaved around other animals? - from Debbie

Question: I have a 14 week old male Shih Tzu. My problem is he gets really agressive with the growling and trying to bite if he doesn’t like something, like trying to take off his collar or get something out of his mouth that he wants. Also I am having problems with housebreaking him. At what age do they tell you they need to go out? Thanks so much for your help. - from Terry

Question: My 3 year old Lab is constantly whining. He eats at six am and five pm. He will begin whining at five am and four pm. If I change his feeding times the whining times change as well. He whines all the time. Even to go out. Is there something wron with him or is he just a whiner? Do you suggest I get him checked at the vet or try to change the behavior? This has just began in the last several months. Thanks in advance for your reply. - from Michelle
